Andrea Hernandez, a native of the Bay Area, spent her childhood dividing her time between Burlingame and San Francisco. Her deep connection with water provided her with a sense of comfort and emotional regulation, allowing her to unwind and find solace in its presence. Her passion for art led her to California State University, Sacramento, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Photography in 2010. Seeking new avenues for self-expression, she embarked on a journey to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she pursued a Master of Fine Art degree in 2024. Inspired by the paintings owned by her beloved Grandfather, she discovered an everlasting connection with the textures that emerged from the canvas. This profound connection, coupled with her love for water, empowered her to create her thesis, titled “Through Their Eyes.” In 2026, she successfully completed her MFA at the Academy of Art University and is currently exhibiting her work at the Academy of Art Gallery in San Francisco.
